The global Information Technology (IT) Function is leading efforts to align IT and Business Strategy, leverage IT investments, and optimize end to end business processes and associated information integration technologies. Through these efforts, IT helps to improve the competitive position of Corning's businesses through IT enabled processes. IT also delivers Information Technology applications, infrastructure, and project services in a cost efficient manner to Corning worldwide.

Overview:
The Commercial IT Technical Leader is a key member of our global digital transformation implementation team, working closely with domain experts, business users, external partners and internal IT teams to deliver integrated capabilities across several platforms, including Adobe Experience Manager, SAP Hybris, Lucidworks Fusion Search (SOLR) and Google Analytics. The technical leader s primary responsibility will be to own the end-to-end technical oversight for specific applications, and to collaborate with other team members to deliver integrated solutions to achieve specific project goals, improvements and stability within the platforms. The breadth of technical work experience and end-to-end systems understanding provides the role a unique ability to instill trust as well as facilitate communication and alignment, both within the team and with stakeholders.

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Hands-on technical leadership, ensuring project and DevOps teams are delivering sound, secure and stable technical solutions for key customer-facing applications.
  • Working closely with domain experts and supporting personnel to understand the underlying business problem or opportunity, previous approaches to addressing them, then recommending a solution that achieves the desired outcome aligned to established standards and strategic roadmap.
  • Engage with internal/external customers to analyze requirements from a business and systems perspective by interpreting business goals and objectives and translating them into technical solutions.
  • Collaborating with other technical leads and team members to solve problems and identify solutions across our platforms, define technology roadmaps and specifications, share experiences and lessons learned for continual improvement
  • Project delivery:
    Ensure that Application work is completed on schedule and any impacts to other related systems are thoroughly documented and communicated on global projects.
  • Maintain a posture of continuous learning. Keeps knowledge up to date regarding new and emerging IT technology and IT industry practices.

Education &
Experience:

  • Undergraduate technical degree in IT or Engineering
  • 3-5 years relevant experience
  • 3
    years working with web CMS, search, and/or analytics platforms. Adobe Experience Manager, Lucidworks Fusion (SOLR search), and Google Analytics experience preferred, but not required.
  • Ecommerce, DevOps, automation experience is a plus.
  • Strong technical understanding and hands-on experience with various coding languages, JavaScript, cloud-based infrastructure, analytics, SEO and on-site search administration.

  • Ability to influence decisions with critical thinking based upon experience and grasp of the strategic intent of the project

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
