The global Information Technology (IT) Function is leading efforts to align IT and Business Strategy, leverage IT investments, and optimize end to end business processes and associated information integration technologies. IT also delivers Information Technology applications, infrastructure, and project services in a cost efficient manner to Corning worldwide.

Overview:
The Manufacturing IT Solution Architect is a key member of our global digital transformation implementation team, working closely with domain experts, business users, and IT/OT teams to design solutions to deliver integrated M4.0 capabilities across ERP, PLM, Quality, and MES solutions. The solution architect s primary responsibility will be to align all team members towards the technical solutions required to achieve the specific project business outcomes and deliver an integrated digital foundation. The breadth of technical work experience and end-to-end systems understanding provides the manufacturing SA a unique ability to instill trust as well as facilitate communication and alignment, both within the team and with stakeholders. Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Working closely with domain experts and supporting personnel to understand the underlying business problem or opportunity, previous approaches to addressing them, then recommending a solution that achieves the desired outcome aligned to established standards and strategic roadmap
  • Engage with internal/external customers to analyze requirements from a business and systems perspective by interpreting business goals and objectives and translating them into technical solutions. Strong understanding of ERP, Quality, MES, shop floor controls and how they integrate to provide a complete solution to the plant.
  • Designing in data quality and data architecture standards to deliver advanced analytics
  • Collaborating with other teams, defining technology roadmaps, sharing experiences and lessons learned for continual improvement
  • Project delivery:
    Ensure that Manufacturing Application work is completed on schedule and that impacts to manufacturing systems are thoroughly documented and communicated on global projects.
  • Project delivery:
    Create specifications for developers to use as direction for development as needed
  • Maintain a posture of continuous learning. Keeps knowledge up to date regarding new and emerging IT technology and IT industry practices.

Education &
Experience:

  • Undergraduate technical degree in IT or Engineering
  • 10-15 years relevant manufacturing experience
  • 5
    years of experience working with manufacturing automation systems, test and metrology systems, MES.
  • 3
    years of experience working with QMS and PLM systems.
  • 3
    years working with SQL, reporting and BI systems such as PowerBI or Tableau
  • Strong technical understanding and hands-on experience with various technical capabilities like .Net, AJAX, T-SQL, Microsoft SQL Server and SQL Server BI components
  • Experience with Camstar MES and EtQ QMS is a plus

  • Proven track record of implementing IT solutions that make meet business demands and are technically sound
  • Proven success working in highly matrix environment
  • Excellent analytical and decision-making abilities
  • Strong leadership and excellent verbal and written communications skills, with the ability to develop and sell ideas
  • Ability to influence decisions with critical thinking based upon experience and grasp of the strategic intent of the project

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
