The role of the IT Systems Engineer is tasked with designing, implementing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting the corporate network to include networking equipment, all software, and all computer-based systems.
The role requires the engineer to work in a dynamic and rapidly expanding environment.
The IT Systems Engineer serves as a member of a team of IT professionals and must demonstrate excellent technical competency in delivering mission-critical infrastructure and ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance, and security.
The member will work to advance their technical skills and qualifications within the personal communications, systems engineering, and security space.
This position is responsible for the support and overall operation of the company's information technology infrastructure including servers, end user computing platforms and applications, network, phone system, and general technical support.
General Duties &
Responsibilities:
Managing and monitoring all installed systems and infrastructure Installing, configuring, testing and maintaining operating systems, application software and system management tools, Ensuring the highest levels of operations and infrastructure availability Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions and work with developers to implement those fixes, Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks, Participate in the design of information and operational support systems Provide 1st through 3rd level support, Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution Recommends new approaches to effect on-going continual improvements to policies, procedures, and documentation.
Must be self-driven and able to work with minimal supervision and in a team environment.
Detail- and deadline-oriented with the ability to prioritize and multi-task Handle multiple projects at one time and demonstrate excellent time management skills.
Skills &
Experience:
AS degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, or BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, related subject, or equivalent military experience.
Minimum 3 years' experience or 5 years' equivalent military experience in non-degreed.
Proven working experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Windows and Linux based environments.
Proven working experience in installing, configuring, and administering Microsoft server level applications (e.
g.
, Active Directory, Exchange, SQL) Proven ability to configure, maintain, and troubleshoot multiple systems platforms (e.
g.
, Servers, SANs, Laptops, Tablets, Smart Devices) Solid experience in the install, administration, and troubleshooting of application stacks (e.
g.
, Office 365, WEB).
Solid Cloud experience, preferably in Azure, Office 365, and SharePoint Experience with virtualization and containerization (e.
g.
, VMware, Hyper-V) Experience with monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting and analyzing systems Experience with automation software (e.
g.
, Acronis).
Solid scripting skills (e.
g.
, PowerShell, Python).
Solid networking knowledge (e.
g.
, routing, switching, wireless, protocols, security) Experience with security protocols (e.
g.
, TLS, DNSSEC, DKIM, SPF, PKI) Must possess strong written, oral and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to communicate with outside vendors and internal staff.
Percent travel required:
Approximately 30%.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
