Survey Field Technician
Overview / Responsibilities
Amec Foster Wheeler Environment & Infrastructure is seeking an Entry Level Survey Field Technician to join our team in Charlotte, NC.
Key Responsibilities
Survey data collection on Amec Foster Wheeler projects
Operate the survey total stations and levels
Record collected survey data in field books and or data collector
Aid in maintenance all survey equipment
Assist party chief with survey files and field calculations
Work on several jobs simultaneously
Maintain good client relations
Project Related Responsibilities
All facets of surveying projects including:
Collection of deed data for boundary surveys
Establish project control monumentation
Collection of topographic information for 3d mapping
Providing construction layout on Amec Foster Wheeler projects
Skills / Qualifications
Required
High School Diploma or GED
Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
Excellent organizational skills
Computer skills and technical competence
Commitment to work with other sections and divisions of Amec Foster Wheeler
Valid driver's license
Ability to travel
Must pass drug test, background check and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company's driving (MVR) policy
Preferred
Familiarity with utility locating
Physical Demands
Performing work in a variety of climate conditions including hot and cold weather climates
Ability to work in field walking, standing, and using variety of hand-held equipment for extended periods required
Must be able to work in a field environment and have the ability to travel as required
