Defined Contribution Financial Investment Analyst

The purpose of this job is to support several lead consultants on client accounts and/or support the lead consultant in managing client accounts for employers in the small and mid-market space. The role will have opportunities to interact with clients while supporting the consultant in developing client relationships and strategies, and facilitating Mercer's role of a trusted advisor. The role will also manage projects that evaluate plan pricing, research and analyze investment options and other client DC related client work.
Responsibility
Analysis and Review provide high level financial, contract and/or administrative analysis and review of client deliverables. Examples of the types of analysis, projects and responsibilities include:
Financial Analysis includes data analysis (example includes but is not limited to review investment performance, fund balances, and cash flow data and look for trends and patterns in the data to identify potential errors and perform additional research to rectify the data issue).
Contract Analysis review internal compliance and client disclosure requirements, to ensure alignment with client expectations and legal requirements.
Administrative Analysis managing ad-hoc client requests including problem-solving on administrative and operations issues.
Investment data - review Investment review performance, fund balances, and cash flow from vendors on a quarterly basis that has been entered into a standardized report template; analyzes and interprets data to make recommendations to consultant for the client; peer reviews customized, client ready reports submits report to consultant for use with the client and replies to any questions the consultant may have
Project management & consulting skills demonstrate project management and consulting skills such as:
Interpret benchmark data and present to client or consultant. Complete pricing analysis to identify, compare and verify funding sources for vendor/record keeping costs.
Managing the quality and timeliness of client deliverables that they produce for average of 60 clients.
Participating in client calls and meetings as appropriate.
Delegating, coordinating and reviewing project work as appropriate.
Assisting with the preparation and delivery of clear and concise client-friendly communications. Supports client team in regular and project work: agendas, thought leadership, additional projects, stewardship, compliance or efficiency as needed.
Data manipulation and review conduct data entry and review for accuracy and reasonableness; provide data template (report) where necessary.
Understands DC & Financial Wellness products, services and tools
Understand vendor marketplace, including developing relationships with vendors in order to understand and compare products and services being offered. Understand general DC retirement plan concepts by participating in training courses, online learning, or through learning from colleagues. Lead training on area(s) of expertise.
Process and Administrative Assist in operational and compliance maintenance of the client team such as:
Calendar Management - Coordinates investment committee meetings working directly with client contacts and vendors when or if they attend the meetings.
Record Maintenance Ensures consistent document management practices and process. Sets up and maintains electronic file structure for the clients supported. Coordinates filing of local office client documents quarterly and ensures all compliance files are current.
Operational Responsible for all aspects of billing codes setup maintenance and application of revenue.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
