Job Description
The Lead Web Developer will be a part of the Digital Media team, working on our corporate website . The primary responsibility for this role within our organization will be supporting the digital marketing technologies and ecosystem for . Candidates must have in-depth technical knowledge of the Adobe Marketing Cloud and highly skilled using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM, formerly known as Adobe CQ) version 5.5 or above to manage websites. This person will play a critical role in driving the strategy, architecture, design and implementation of AEM initiatives.
The Lead Web Developer will work collaboratively with others on the Digital Media team, marketing, technology specialists, outside agencies and management to ensure the websites and supporting systems are functional and scalable.
Responsibilities
Maintain, troubleshoot and implement enhancements to customer-facing websites through extensive expertise in AEM development, architecture, front-end web development and integrations with other products in the Adobe Marketing Cloud.
Lead the approach, design, development and architecture for AEM implementations.
Manage technical teams for multiple projects and assist with stakeholder relationships to assure business needs are met, projects are delivered on time, and with high quality systems.
Mentor developers and members of other disciplines in technical skills and processes.
AEM administration responsibilities for setting permissions for user groups and package management.
Requirements
Optimizing web solutions and architecting to accommodate performance requirements.
Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in web development and a minimum of 2 years development experience of AEM architecture (Sling, CRX, JCR, OSGi) , components, templates, dialogs, widgets, workflows, social collaboration modules, security, deployment, search, publishing.
Experience in design and development of workflows including the implementation of custom workflow steps with user groups and emails.
Experience with architecture of a load balanced environment, should have understanding of the dispatcher configuration and in clustering multiple servers.
Experience in guiding the technical team in diagnosing and solving technical problems related to content management implementation.
Development experience with responsive web design and mobile web.
Experience with Java, JSP development.
Hands on experience working with Java development tools like Eclipse.
Extensive expertise in front-end development including HTML 5, XHTML, XML, JavaScript, JSON, jQuery and CSS3 with understanding of user-centered design principles.
Experience with Apache configuration.
Experience in architecting source control and code deployments with SVN, Jenkins, Maven or other forms of source control and code deployment.
Experience leading and coordinating the code deployment release schedules.
It is imperative that the candidate be able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of the content publishing process, developing and implementing marketing technology-based business solutions, testing and QA.
Diagnose and solve technical problems related to content management, such as search results, dynamically linking content based on content attributes, formatting, scalable images for responsive design, navigation, etc.
Actively share knowledge and responsibility with other team members.
Translates business requirements into technical details relevant to AEM or the Adobe Marketing Cloud suite of products.
Resolve user-identified functional and technical issues relating to AEM.
Candidate must learn our standards, internal processes and vendor processes as well as suggesting improvements and enhancements.
Candidate must be capable of working independantly as well as a team environment where all members are included in the solution and management is aware of actions being taken.
Skilled at quickly and intelligently solving a wide range of front-end engineering issues in a forward thinking manner.
In-depth knowledge of browser compatibility issues, responsive display for mobile and providing solutions to ensure website is rendered consistently across all browsers, platforms and devices.
Willingness to learn and stay up-to-date with technology.
Additional Skills a Plus
Experience working with Agile methodology using JIRA, TeamForge or comparable work management system.
Knowledge and skills with the integration of Adobe Marketing Cloud products such as Analytics, Target and Search & Promote.
Knowledge and experience with AEM integrations for video delivery service such as Brightcove.
Knowledge and experience with Eloqua lead generation form development and integration with website.
Required Education:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field.
