Summary: /
The position is centered around data analysis and the development and recommendation of process improvements or cost savings. Some load planning duties may be included as a secondary responsibility. This position works independently and is part of a team of analysts.
Essential Functions:
Collects, enters and analyzes data for reporting purposes and metrics development
Analyzes reports/ make recommendations for process improvement, error correction, cost savings
Develops and implements cost savings initiative
Manages rate database for project(s)
Load Aggregation / Optimization
Analysis and resolution of carrier performance/ compliance issues
Rate Negotiation
Customer interfacing / reporting
Transportation network design & audit
Administration of compliance initiatives (includes international shipments)
/Scope and Accountability:/
Applies principals, concepts, practices and standards of a professional field to complete a variety of on-going assignments an projects. Analyzes quantitative information and applies professional judgment to resolve a variety of issues. Impacts team effectiveness through responsibility for the quality of own work and potentially the work of others.
/Qualification Requirements:/
/Knowledge/:. Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
/Skills/: Strong organizational and time management skills
Strong systems aptitude and must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with emphasis on
Outlook, Word and Excel
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Understanding of Transportation Operations and Supply Chain Management

/Experience/: 2-5 years of professional experience.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
/Physical Demands/: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands or finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
/Work Environment/: The duties of this job are performed in both an office environment and a light industrial environment, thereby experiencing some minor to moderate level of noise due to office equipment and industrial equipment.
