### Job description
Responsible for performing more complex analysis and modeling for multiple products with the goal of maximizing profits and asset growth and minimizing risk and operating losses and/or other financial and marketing exposures. Develops complex program models to extract data and uses multiple databases to acquire statistical and financial data. Utilizes portfolio trends to propose policy/procedural changes within segmentation structure to produce optimal results. Excels at risk/reward trade off. Build relationships with external agencies. Participates in the rollout of company-wide pilot programs developed as a result of programmed models. Duties primarily include the regular use of discretion, independent judgment, the ability to communicate with multiple levels of management and the utilization of core leadership behaviors. SAS an//or MicroStrategy experience preferred; 2-5 years experience preferred.

Job Description:_
Provide analysis to enhance New Deposit frauddetection and prevention. Areas of focusto include deposit account opening process, new vendors/tools evaluations,fraud strategies and fraud risk analysis
Apply data mining techniques to identify opportunitiesand make recommendations to control losses and increase funds availability. Investigate new, innovative techniques toenhancing customer experience and develop analytically-based customer solutions.
Design and implement fraud prevention metrics tomeasure current processes and to measure process or procedural changes relativeto fraud.
Work with Fraud Operations, other Fraud Strategyteams, Fraud Policy, Technology and Deposit LOB to implement and execute newstrategies.
Understand and balance the relationship betweenrevenue, cost and fraud losses (risk versus reward balance).
Must be able to synthesize findings frominternal databases, and various other sources.
Act as key fraud partner for Deposit LOBproviding support and recommendations on new strategies
### Qualifications
Required
Strong skills with SAS and SQL. Minimum 5 years experience.
Strong database management skills
Degree in an analytical field (statistics,operations research, engineering, etc.) Masters preferred.
Fluent in complex statistical/analytical anddatabase management techniques including:
Statisticalmethodologies: logistic and OLS regression, bootstrapping, factoranalysis, discriminant analysis, segmentation (CHAID and CART),cluster analysis ( k-means),
Experience pulling Deposits product data from W
Experience in working with large volumes of data
5 years experience applying data miningtechniques to business problems.
Strong analytical, trouble-shooting, problemsolving, teamwork, interpersonal, and relationship management skills.
Must be results driven, action oriented, andprocess improvement biased.
Proven ability to communicate analytical resultsto all potential audiences.
Desired
Knowledge of deposit fraud behavior anddetection methodologies. Operations knowledge of Deposit products.
Ability to influence across the organization.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
