## Description
Under general direction of the Director - Reporting responsible for consulting with Operations and / or clients in order to help define reporting solutions. Advises customers on reporting tools capabilities and best practices in response to client value-drivers and/or current business challenges. Senior Consultants work within a client engagement team and are not responsible for project management.
Responsibilities include among others coaching junior consultants identifying business requirements requirements management functional design prototyping process design (including scenario design flow mapping) testing training defining support procedures and supporting implementations. The Senior Consultant will hold primary responsibility for quality and accuracy of deliverables.
Must have strong SQL/Analytics skills. Would prefer someone with a variety of reporting tools such as Qlikview, Tableau, Business objects, etc.
1. Conduct regularly-scheduled reviews to ensure Operations and clients are receiving the right data at the right time to support their business and client value propositions.
2. Facilitate meetings and presents reporting and data solutions to Operational counterparts and external clients both prospective new and existing.
3. Serves as a lead resource for interpreting data and information; communicates results to Operations and/or clients and makes recommendations.
4. Provide consultative support to business partners on appropriate use of data the application of reporting and quality assurance standards.
5. Operates as the primary contact between the business and the reporting team responsible for delivering reporting solutions.
6. Assesses reporting needs; provides recommendations for enhanced solutions and matches needs to Reporting tools and capabilities.
7. Works with customers to provide consultation on the best use and interpretation of information as well as limitations.
8. Works with Reporting and Information Technology team members to communicate requirements and ensure delivery of quality Reporting solutions.
9. Performs related duties as assigned.
10. Ability to accommodate occasional travel.
## Qualifications
Requires some training in fields such as business administration accountancy sales marketing computer sciences or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four year Bachelor's Degree program technical vocational training or equivalent combination of experience and education. Normally requires a minimum of four (5) to six (6) years directly related and progressively responsible experience; strong analysis or reporting experience (as a provider or consumer).
1. 5-6 years experience in reporting metrics development and data analysis required
2. Strong knowledge of reimbursement and PAP operational programs and / or pharmaceutical sales and marketing business disciplines
3. Background in report development standards and methodologies.
4. Experience leading teams in a consulting/advisory atmosphere
5. Strong knowledge of key business processes and drivers
6. Strong client-facing customer service orientation and communication skills
7. Strong knowledge of healthcare data in general and reimbursement data
8. Expertise with reporting tools and capabilities
9. Familiarity with the following or related technologies: Business Objects Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services SharePoint and data warehousing concepts.
10. Knowledge of healthcare data privacy and HIPAA compliance requirements a plus
11. Good analytical and problem solving skills to evaluate business problems and apply applications knowledge to identify appropriate solutions
12. Good interpersonal skills; effective team player
13. Strong decision making skills
14. Ability to prioritize work load and consistently meet deadlines
15. Strong organizational skills; attention to detail
16. Strong process improvement backgrounds with Six Sigma experience a plus
17. Client-facing experience at all levels within the organization
18. Client-facing consulting experience a plus
