The candidate will provide primary support for the build out of prime brokerage business significant support for the equity derivatives business and additional support for other securities trading and sales business lines. J.D. degree and State Bar membership required. Must have 5
years of experience as a practicing attorney with a major law firm, securities regulatory agency or in-house law department, including 3
years representing firms in capital markets and investment banking activities. Should have federal and state securities law expertise, with significant experience in addressing trading and sales issues. Very strong preference for experience in representing a prime brokerage business and documenting equity derivatives transactions, repurchase agreements, securities lending agreements, synthetic and cash documents and margin related issues. Understanding of bank and financial holding company regulatory issues preferred. Familiarity with relevant Dodd-Frank issues desired.
