Cost Accountant / Plant Controller

Responsibilities
Budget Preparation & Financial Reporting
Inventory Controls including participation in annual inventory process
Raw Material Costing & Machine Operation Calculations
COGS Labor Costs and output cost and pricing recommendations
Review master production schedule and work orders
Establish priorities for specific customer orders
Compiles reports concerning progress of work and downtime due to machine and equipment failure
Revises schedule according to work order specifications, established priorities, and availability or capability of workers, parts, material, machines, and equipment
Routine and Ad Hoc Financial Reporting
Prepare reports required by regulatory agencies
Respond to CFO requests and inquiries
Establish or recommend economic strategies, objectives, and policies for short and long term goals
Recommend improvement modifications to existing processes and programs
Advise management about insurance coverage for protection against property losses and potential liabilities
Direct determination of depreciation rates to apply to capital assets
Advise management on desirable operational adjustments due to tax code revisions
Establish and maintain systems and controls which verify the integrity of all systems, processes and data
Prepare for and participate in annual outside audit process
Communicate with co-workers, management, clients and others in a courteous and professional manner
Conform with all safety rules and use all appropriate safety equipment
Qualifications
MUST HAVE: Machine Output Information & Run Times / Discreet Processing & Raw Materials
Strong general ledger working knowledge
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including financial modeling, pivot tables, and v/h lookup
Strong planning and budgeting abilities
Ability to meet strict deadlines
Requirements
BA in Accounting or Finance
3-10 Years discrete manufacturing accounting, plastics molding process preferred
In-depth experience with manufacturing cost accounting/standard costs required
ISO 9000 & experience using MS Dynamics AX is a plusEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
