Responsible for collection, organization, summarization, and reconciliation of data associated with commodities/costs and the related payables by performing the following duties:
Effective preparation, maintenance and reporting of financial data, including monthly reconciliations.
Preparation and posting of month-end journal entries.
Preparation and distribution of weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports.
Manage deadlines from departments on data requirements.
Report and research data for management.
Manage and maintain system setups and control processes.
Other duties as assigned.
5+ years of related experience.
Bachelors degree with an emphasis in Accounting or Finance required
MBA or CPA is preferred
Mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and applying concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, accounting policies, and procedure manuals.
Prepare routine reports and correspondence.
Professional presentation and the ability to speak effectively before groups of employees of the organization.
Operate personal and desktop computer equipment with Microsoft software applications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
