Position Summary

The intern will provide assistance and support within the IT Regional Services team located in Charlotte, NC. Activities include but not limited to the following
Assist with the installation and configuration of desktop hardware and software as it relates to the desktop/laptop encryption program.
Possibly assist with CGX acquisition projects.
Assist with infrastructure cleanup projects (EDA) that are currently in progress.
Responsibilities
Work is typically performed under minimal daily supervision, receiving guidance from manager/supervisor about the work that needs to be completed. Able to exercise high level of discretion and latitude in completing tasks.
Performs duties and participates in the Laptop / Desktop Encryption project as assigned.
Maintains the asset management system (additions/changes/deletions) for accurate tracking of all IT assets within the site(s) and also distributes software in accordance with software install policies to ensure proper licensing for all installations.
Works with enterprise support groups and outside vendors to resolve problems or issues related to the Laptop / Desktop Encryption project.
Responds to Service Desk tickets of end-user requests to assist the local teams during the Laptop / Desktop Encryption project.
Troubleshoots any technical difficulty with PC hardware and software issues, Internet, network applications, configurations and peripheral equipment.
General Site Technician activities for Day to Day operational support.
Assist with Standard desktop/laptop refresh.

The intern candidate should be a full-time student at an accredited college or university pursuing a Bachelor or higher degree in IT or engineering related field.
Must have a good working knowledge of Windows XP, Windows 7 Pro, MS- Office 2007.
Installation and troubleshooting PC hardware.
Excellent oral and written communications skills.
Good interpersonal and team skills.
Positive attitude and outstanding customer service orientation.
Accuracy and attention to detail.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
