Senior Electrical Engineer
Mission Critical / Data Center Projects
In this hands-on engineering role, you will function as an in-house technical expert on a wide variety of electrical subjects and capital projects. Extensive problem solving capabilities are required. The candidate's prior knowledge and experience is heavily relied upon, but the individual must be able to proactively recognize design, safety, environmental, and reliability issues with equipment and maintenance of systems.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Complete designs, analyses, and design reviews for low and medium voltage power distribution systems and lighting and fire alarm systems
Provide analytical and technical expertise in electrical reliability improvement on high voltage equipment and power distribution operations, as well as capital project execution for these and building occupancy power systems.
Develop and maintain electrical design criteria, electrical equipment procurement specifications, and electrical installation specifications.
Travel to client project locations for project execution and client relationship purpose
Required
Qualifications:
BS Electrical Engineering or other engineering degree with extensive experience
Professional Engineer (PE) license
Minimum of 5 years' experience in the design of electrical and power systems for commercial buildings, healthcare, education
Mission critical design experience a must
Comprehensive knowledge of AutoCAD
Experience in building system design of lighting, mechanical, plumbing, power, telecommunication, and fire protection systems
Knowledge of fire alarm, lighting, power distribution, emergency systems
Experience in both design (narratives, presentations, specifications, construction documents) and construction administration
Preferred
Qualifications:
Prior experience with Revit
Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) certification
