PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Monitor supplier and distributor logistics to ensure:
Truckload freight
Load maximization/efficient trailer fill rates
Inventory management resulting in continuous supply to the Bojangles' system.
Coordinate flow of products within the distribution networks
Identify potential new suppliers; manage the approval process for those suppliers as it relates to items within specific regions and/or assigned product categories.
Negotiate and contract with approved and potential suppliers.
Conduct business review of current suppliers.
Evaluate and coordinate product consolidation.
Point of origin analysis
Gather and monitor historical cost/pricing information relevant to Bojangles' products.
Audit costs to insure compliance with contract prices; report on findings.
Manage commercial issues related to product recall/withdrawal.
Analyze commodity markets for cost savings or cost avoidance opportunities within assigned product categories.
Support company and franchise operators through effective long-term planning, communication and problem solving.
EDUCATION/SKILLS:
Must be able to interact and participate as a collaborative team member in pursuit of common organizational goals.
Minimum two years experience in foodservice distribution, freight management and/or purchasing
Poultry distribution experience is a plus
BS in Purchasing & Distribution (Supply Chain Management), or military logistics background preferred
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
Proficient with Microsoft Excel spreadsheets
