Senior Metadata Architect (MDM/EDM) Job Senior Metadata Architect (Enterprise Data Management/Master Data Management) needed for an eight (8) monthcontract opportunity with Yoh's client located in Charlotte, NC. The Big Picture: - The Data Architect must have an end-to-end vision for a given data-centric solution such as a MDM solution. This includes an enterprise perspective that encompasses the entire data ecosystem, including a description of how the data will flow through the successive stages of the design solution, and into any consuming applications. - Expertise in Enterprise Data Management/Master Data Management - You will need to be an Architect and NOT a developer What You'll Be Doing: - Senior Metadata Architect (Enterprise Data Management/Master Data Management) is responsible for developing and maintaining a formal description of the data and data structures which can include data definitions, data models, data flow diagrams, etc. (ie, both technical and business metadata). The data architecture includes topics such as metadata management, business semantics, data modelling and metadata workflow management. - Senior Metadata Architect (Enterprise Data Management/Master Data Management) will need to be able to address issues of Data Migration (Validation, Clean-up and Mapping), and will need to understand the importance of Data Governance and Metadata Management. - Develop a data strategy and associated polices, and articulate and document the associated metadata - Abstract general principles from specifics; (ie, abstract data objects within the environment to facilitate appropriate data integration). - Articulate Standards of Best Practice for all things data related - The individual should be able to develop an appropriate data architecture, including: - A formal description of a system, or a detailed plan of the system at component level to guide its implementation - Develop the data lineage for any given data object, using the becubic toolset. - The structure of components, their inter-relationships, and the principles and guidelines governing their design and evolution over time. What You Need to Bring to the Table: - Should be familiar with TOGAF architecture framework and other relevant data management frameworks and design principles. - A thorough and well-rounded understanding of infrastructure architecture and how the Application Architecture fits into an organization - Detailed understanding and tangible experience with ASG's Becubic Toolset and the ASG Rochade Toolset - Possess three to five (3 to 5 ) years' experience in a Distributed (.NET or Java) application development environment.
