, Waypoint Analytical (WA) has established its agricultural soil labs as the most reliable and timely provider of agricultural soil test data.
The Analyst Chemist (Volatiles) will be responsible for performing analyses of client samples in the Volatiles laboratory using analytical techniques and procedures.
You will have the opportunity to partner with knowledgeable laboratory professionals to prepare, test, and analyze various sample types for volatile organic compounds.
Responsibilities include:
Perform sample analysis using GC/MS and GC/FID methods Prepare lab for daily operations, including stocking materials, evaluating equipment, and performing safety and cleaning procedures Support the testing process by preparing samples for analysis Ensure appropriate testing procedures are conducted in compliance with QA and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) requirements Schedule, prepare, and analyze samples based on method requirements within allotted time frame Adhere to established Health & Safety protocols Dispose of samples utilizing laboratory instructions and best practices Review, complete, and process logs and additional documentation as required Explain findings from sample evaluation to key stakeholders We are looking for talented individuals who are not just open to new ideas but want to bring a fresh perspective and energy to their work.
