This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas:
benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, running payroll when senior management is unavailable.
Responsibilities / Duties Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Administers various human resource plans and procedures for all company personnel.
Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems.
Performs benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment and communicating benefit information to employees.
Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions and results of department in relation to established goals.
Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of the department and services performed.
Maintains human resource information system records and compiles reports from the database.
Run payroll when HR Manager is unavailable.
Work with HR Manager to field calls, complete employee requests.
Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
