Clinical Coding Education Manager

Job Type Full-time Description The Clinical Coding Education Manager assists with the development of education/training materials, conducts and coordinates training, creates and maintains provider, CDI, and coding training materials, tools and/or records.
This role provides continuing education and annual regulatory updates to in-house team members and external clients.
This role will be an active liaison to one or multiple clients regarding education needs.
PRIMARY JOB
Responsibilities:
Assists with the development of education and training of physicians, coders, and CDI specialists for Accuity Healthcare and provides coding component to all education programing, which may include preparation of related educational materials and giving frequent presentations - on-site and virtual Assists with the orientation programs and online learning module assignments Applies for continuing education credits (CMEs and CEUs) from third party vendors for educations Maintains individual and client continuing education credit logs for Accuity educations Collects and/or coordinates the collection of data, compiles reports and graphs, and presents findings and/or education plans at client meetings in conjunction with the Client Success team or the Director of Education Works independently under general supervision and utilizes analytical and creative thinking skills to promote Accuity Healthcare's philosophy and the department of education's objectives to all education targets Education targets include current and prospective Accuity Healthcare clients, as well as in-house team members, and the public in a national or regional conference settings Other duties as assigned by the Director of Education or senior administration, including assignments to allow growth and expansion of the department Requirements POSITION
Qualifications:
Education:
Associates Degree required, BS/BA or graduate degree preferred
Experience:
A minimum of 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified above Minimum 2 years inpatient coding experience preferred Experience with electronic health records and health information systems as well as different encoders Demonstrated knowledge of MS and APR-DRGs Demonstrated knowledge of all applicable coding clinics as they relate to current IP coding practices Licensure and/or Credentials/Certifications:
Health information management and/or coding credential from AHIMA and/or AAPC required (RHIA, RHIT, CCS, and/or CIC) CCDS or CDIP certification preferred Clinical license preferred (e.
g.
, LPN, RN, BSN, NP, PA, MD, DO, allied health) AHIMA ICD-10/PCS trainer certification preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Must be well versed in regulatory requirements for medical record documentation Must have demonstrated education/training skills; creativity/knowledge of adult learning principles preferred Must be able to function as part of a team, using effective interpersonal and instructional skills Professional executive presence in written, verbal, and presentation communications required w/attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Including a proactive disposition towards identifying problems and providing solutions.
Knowledge of hospital/acute coding, billing, reimbursement, and third-party payer regulation Exceptional writing and editing skills combined with strong presentation and public speaking skills Proven advanced skills in Microsoft Suite applications (particularly Teams, PowerPoint, MS Word) Independent, focused individual able to work remotely or on-site Recommended Skills Administration Adult Education Attention To Detail Billing Certified Coding Specialist Clinical Works Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
