Summary:
A non-exempt position responsible for providing technical support for serum production operations.
Able to travel to all clinic locations within the company.
Essential Job
Responsibilities:
1.
Processes new start mail-out orders from clinical.
2.
Processes mail-out reorders from clinical and outside doctor offices.
3.
Communicate with outside doctor offices regarding patient's treatment.
4.
Works closely with serum production and Laboratory Manager to ensure safe and efficient serum production and to ensure compliance with practice parameters.
5.
Readies patient serum for courier delivery to satellite offices within company.
6.
Ability to perform serum production.
7.
Responsible for daily pollen count with web site posting.
8.
Provides clinical coverage specific to clinical site's needs.
9.
Maintains equipment, instruments, and supplies as needed.
10.
Responds to immunotherapy triage requests (shot schedule, shot reactions).
11.
Complies with all quality assurance policies and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations related to safety, cleanliness, and infection control.
12.
Utilizes work time wisely and efficiently by completing clinical tasks, assisting with triage tasks, calling patients for lab and/or radiology results, completing the prior authorization paperwork needed for medication approvals, assisting team members, cleaning, organizing, stocking, and putting supplies away and preparing the office to run efficiently.
13.
Other duties as assigned.
Education:
High school diploma.
Successful completion of medical technologist, medical laboratory technician, or certified laboratory assistant program.
Or medical assistant diploma from an accredited vocational institution, or a community college course in medical assisting.
State Licensed Practical Nurse preferred.
Experience:
Minimum one year of laboratory experience or medical assistant experience, preferably in clinic setting.
