Job Requirements:
Insurance Payment Specialist is responsible for both electronically and manually posting of all insurance payments.
Properly posting denials in practice management system and communicating the same with Billing Dept.
for review and timely follow up.
Make note of any situations where the insurance company paid less or different than the expected amount and relay it to Billing Dept for review and follow up.
Maintain access to websites for Insurance Payment Specialist use in retrieving EOBs and EFTs.
Applicant must have knowledge of medical insurance, be number and detail oriented, have good written and verbal communication skills and work well as a team member.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
