Director, Business Development (CPG)

Overview:
This position is open to Anywhere in the United States except for CA, CO, CT, MD, NV & RI.
Travel is required.
You will focus primarily on selling services in support of the category management process, to include space management, category analysis, data insights, and data management for CPGs and retailers.
You will be responsible for establishing and overseeing the execution of all new business opportunities as well as building our network and expanding influence within the industry.
You will be responsible for all sales and marketing activities of the agency and implementation of the business development plan, which includes prospecting, lead generation, qualification, presentation development and follow-up.
Responsibilities:
Ensure revenue objectives are met:
Achieve predefined new business goals for Acosta by developing and executing lead generation plans and sales strategies for targeted markets.
Deploy strategic pipeline management:
develop and maintain a strong pipeline through lead qualification enterprise framework.
This will encompass new client lead generation & developing existing clients to full integrated services.
Extensive experience in end-to-end RFP management.
Excellence in analyzing requirements, completing scope of work, effectively identifying, and developing proposal strategies, themes, storyboards, discriminators & holding cross functional teams accountable for their delivery.
Updating Salesforce.
Track pipeline progress in Salesforce throughout the client lifecycle, from lead to closed opportunities.
Represent Acosta at industry events:
Represent Acosta at trade shows and other industry events as needed.
Articulate the Acosta story in a concise and effective manner.
Expertise & relationships with 3rd party providers of outsourced services is preferred.
Cross-functional excellence:
Work in partnership with members of proposal, pricing & client development teams to develop strategy, establish production schedule and develop a resource plan to ensure timely deliveries to all clients.
Qualifications:
8
years sales agency, retailer, and/or CPG experience is required.
Agency business development experience is preferred.
Experience executing large scale RFPs and RFIs Host meetings with senior executives High degree of proficiency in Windows and related software applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe and Keynote is preferred.
Effectively communicate with others.
Make presentations coupled with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
