DATA ANALYST - (Financial Reporting) Description:
Location:
This resource will be based out of the Charlotte, NC office.
It will be a set hybrid schedule with 4 days per week in the office, and Friday is an optional WFH day.
Please note this is NOT an IT Data Analyst but more of a Financial Data Analyst role.
Top skills needed are Excel (Advanced Level) and reporting experience.
Power BI experience is a nice to have.

The Data Analyst is responsible for providing accurate, complete, timely and insightful reports and analysis used for business management and decision making.
The Data Analyst works closely with department and/or functional managers to determine report requirements, build and update reports and quality test them prior to distribution.
Essential Job Functions Develops and deploys reporting and analysis that is accurate, complete and properly summarized to aid in management of business and management decision making.
Responsible for extracting and summarizing data from corporate databases.
Reviewing information included on the reports and providing management with clear and concise explanations of relevant trends and/or exceptions.
Works with department and/or functional teams to correct issues when identified.
Assists with report design and development.
Tests reports and ensures that they perform as expected.
Produces weekly, monthly, and quarterly trend and activity reports as well as other operational and management reports.
Ensures that reports are produced per scheduled timelines for review by functional management teams.
Produces ad-hoc reporting and support for projects as assigned.
Education/Certifications High School Diploma or GED required Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Business, Accounting, Finance or related field is preferred.
Experience/Minimum Requirements Two (2) years Accounting/Finance/Business reporting and analysis experience Excel experience with tables and formulas.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
Other Skills/Abilities o Strong PC skills - Advanced Excel knowledge.
o Knowledge of Power BI is helpful.
o Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills o Ability to summarize large amounts of complex data into management reports o Knowledge of Oracle and other data analysis and financial software and tools o Ability to problem solve to determine root causes of anomalies o Understand and write reports using various software and tools o Ability to prioritize and work well under pressure Provide ad-hoc financial analysis Perform ad hoc financial analysis Performing ad hoc financial analysis Prepare monthly financial statement analysis Provide ad-hoc financial analysis using various financial data systems Provide financial analysis for financial reporting and budget purposes Distribute monthly financial analysis (budget) Enhance financial analysis and reporting Support financial reporting and analysis Distribute monthly financial reporting packages Produce monthly financial reporting packages Develop monthly financial reporting packages Perform revenue analysis or financial performance analysis Prepare a detailed annual financial budget and monthly financial forecasts Assist in preparing monthly financial variance analysis reports Design financial models to support financial analysis and reporting activities Prepare financial outlooks and financial forecasts Facilitating monthly financial forecast/planning process Analyze financial information and prepare financial reports Performing financial analysis/reporting of business trends Recommended Skills Data Analysis Excel Formulas Excel Pivot Tables Financial Analysis Microsoft Excel Reporting Tools Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
