Product Owner Retirement Systems
Product Owner - Pension / RetirementOur client, a Fortune 100 financial services company is seeking an experienced Product Owner for a long-term (2 years) contract assignment.
This is an onsite hybrid (3 days per week in office) role at the client's office in Charlotte.
Experience working as a Product Owner role in an Agile framework is required as well as Pension / Retirement industry experience.
Preference will be given to those candidates that can come onsite to the client's office on a hybrid basis (3 days per week) in Charlotte, NC or Iselin, NJ.
Completely remote will only be considered for a perfect candidate.
You can come onboard as our W2 or Independent Contractor (1099).
Responsibilities:
o Using existing artifacts and team resources come up to speed quickly on client's product, customer and technology strategy.
o Analyze aspects of a client's operation to gather requirements that translate to technical specifications and system programming that improves performance and profitability.
o Define the product backlog.
Lead scrum team prioritization, team backlog refinement, and outlining features to enhance the execution of business priorities in a fast paced and innovative environment.
o Work with business stakeholders to find efficiencies in improving business processes, reduce waste, remove redundant and outdated processes, and improve overall customer satisfaction.
o Become the primary business advocate on the scrum team.
o Responsible for developing clear and concise Epics and User Storieso Partner with development teams, designer and system analysts to formulate scalable solutions with comprehensive testing planso Implement best practices to ensure that Business Requirement documents and artifacts are Testable Requirements o Facilitate and conduct Review sessions with both the IT and business stakeholders to promote information sharing, transparency, and education of IT's newest systems, applications and solutions through demoso Work with and report to as needed to senior business managers, product manager, Agile Coach and RTE.
Provide project status on a regular basis and identify issues, blockers and solutions.
Requirements:
o Product Owner,Scrum or SAFe Certificationo 3 or more years of experience performing in the role of a Product Owner on Agile projects.
SAFe experience is strongly desired.
o 5 or more years of pension or retirement services experience is a big plus.
o Experience using requirements management tools such as JIRA, JIRA Aligno 5 or more years as an IT Business Analyst or systems analysto Proven leadership abilities including ability to share knowledge, resolve conflicts, and create consensuso Ability to clearly communicate (verbal and written) complex messages to a variety of audienceso Partnership skills and ability to develop effective working relationships with various people in business, operations and ITo Logical and detail oriented, with ability to identify conflicting requirementso Business and technology mindseto Ability to consider both short and long term business needs and IT impacts when developing solutionEducational Requirementso University DegreeWork Experienceo 8
