SummaryCarolina Cat is the exclusive distribution partner in Western North Carolina for Atom Power's revolutionary Level 2 EV Charging Systems (Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment:
EVSE).
The EVSE Sales Specialist is responsible for actively promoting EVSE solutions directly to high value end users, consulting engineers and contractors; supporting the Carolina Cat Power Systems Sales team, and promoting and supporting EVSE sales for certain other dealers across North America with their EVSE product sales efforts.
The role requires a balance of technical acumen and sales skill to successfully optimize EVSE solution proposals, influence engineers and end users, provide technical support to existing sales channels, and successfully sell to commercial, industrial, multifamily residential and municipal customers.
Essential Functions Identify and develop opportunities to grow sales of EVSE products and integrated solutions with new and existing customers.
Develop and execute territory coverage strategy to ensure successful relationships with key accounts and prospects in the Charlotte, Triad and Asheville markets.
Develop and execute business development plan for these EVSE products towards several other dealers across North America.
Review specifications and RFP's, develop accurate proposals and successfully influence decision-makers for EVSE system sales.
Develop a close working relationship with the Carolina Cat Power Systems sales team to partner on integrated solutions and create and close opportunities from internally generated leads for EVSE systems.
Utilize online and hands-on training options to develop expertise in product features, application, performance and configuration options of EVSE products and other related solutions.
Collaborate with representatives from OEM and key supply-chain partners on engineering, specification, performance, pricing, and delivery questions to ensure customer satisfaction throughout the sales cycle.
Be in tune with competitor strategy, offerings and broader market trends.
Maintain important records such as critical interactions, opportunities, quotations and project schedules within Salesforce CRM.

Education and/or Experience Bachelor's degree, preferably in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.

years relevant experience in the energy sector strongly preferred.
Experience with AC power systems, National Electrical Code and relevant standards strongly preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge of selling techniques (prospecting, overcoming objections, closing sales).
Demonstrated ability to communicate professionally and effectively with customers and business partners.
Ability to read and comprehend engineering specifications, electrical one-line drawings and other technical documents relevant to the position.
Demonstrated experience with accounting principles, budget preparation, and business acumen Be organized and detail-oriented to successfully manage many customer relationships and sales opportunities at all times.
Possess a valid driver's license, a good driving record, and have ability to travel during the day regularly, and overnight occasionally.
