Job-Product Manager-Energy Spare PartsDuration-DirectLocation-Charlotte, NCPay-85-110k DOEResponsible for management of products sold for assigned products and technologies in the Energy Spare Parts business and support of Business Manager in the development of sales and business strategy.
This responsibility includes managing core products, maintaining product expertise, development of sales, marketing, and business strategy, maintaining the product supply chain, and maintaining market awareness.
The primary focus of this position is to promote, sell, process, and execute spare part orders for the Energy Spare Parts Business Line to the Pulp & Paper, Power, and Energy industries and to provide technical sales support.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIESProduct Promotion and Sales1.
Provide superior customer service to our spare parts customers 2.
Develop new customers, pursue sales leads, and screen all opportunities to meet sales targets3.
Assess customer needs and suggest appropriate products and services.

Negotiate prices and delivery times within limits of authority; and conclude sales orders to meet revenue targets.
5.
Refer sales leads, customer feedback, and information on competitor activity to appropriate contacts within the organization 6.
Support development of sales strategy and business plansProduct Management1.
Product Expert; complete knowledge of product costs, profitability, features, benefits and competitive market pricing2.
Understand what drives risk and limitations of the product - collaborate with shop production, engineering, outsourcing partners, etc3.
Product ownership includes management of corrective actions to improve the product offering4.
Understand how product is sold to different market segments along with customer requirements (quality and commercial)5.
Assist in development of marketing materials, standard proposal documents and pricing metrics6.
Educate Valmet internal and contract salesforce on product features and capabilities7.
Responsible for firm price estimates (scope, schedule and deliverables)8.
Manage supply chain and provide intelligence and recommendations to Business Manager for inventory levels of raw materials that support future sales and improve ability to execute9.
Track and report on customer/competitor activity in conjunction with sales to identify and proactively capitalize on market trends 10.
Track and manage financial performance and work with Sales Manager to provide monthly reports (e.
