Data Engineer
TITLE :
BI ETL Developer II (multiple openings)LOCATION :
Charlotte, NCJOB SUMMARY :
Design, develop, and support new and existing Business Intelligence (BI) solutions to transform data into meaningful and accurate information for business consumption.
Participate in discussions with team members and users to understand business requirements.
Work with IT, Architecture, Business Analysts and Report Developers to achieve business objectives.
Design, develop, implement, and support new and existing data integration jobs using SQL Server and Teradata Stored Procedures.
Understand and implement best practice solutions per development standards.
Produce Ad Hoc Reports to answer business inquiries.
Develop technology documentation to support production deployments and ongoing maintenance of reporting and data solutions.
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve data quality and performance issues.
Communicate complex topics and analyses to non-technical business personnel.
Provide accurate level of effort estimates for data integration development to management.
EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS :
Bachelor's Degree, or foreign equivalent, in Information Technology, Information Systems, Electronic Engineering, or a related technical field.
4 years of experience designing technical solutions, including performing business analysis and transforming business requirements in technical solutions; 4 years of experience utilizing SQL, including SQL Server and Teradata Stored Procedures; 4 years of experience performing data warehousing, including the use of BI/DW architecture and concepts; 4 years of experience performing data integration, including integrating multiple data sources to provide BI solutions.
