Due to continued growth with our existing and new customers, we have a new opportunity for a Development Chef working out of our Charlotte development kitchen.

We can teach you manufacturing and development, we can't teach you creativity! The Chef role here is a exciting and fast paced, but we don't have the same heat as a restaurant kitchen so if you're looking for a lifestyle change this could be for you.
To be successful you'll need:
Degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent 5-7-year experience as Sous or R&D chef Detail-oriented, can closely follow directions, and meticulously capture processes.
You enjoy working on a project until it is right, can give and receive constructive criticism.
You are a savvy researcher, a follower of food trends, and an attentive listener.
Experience in food manufacturing / production setting a plus Highly professional committed to turning ideas into delicious food across a wide spectrum of clients Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PPT Strong verbal and written communication skills canditate must be knowledgeable and able to discuss food and ingredients.
Reach for the most illuminating questions, research the most useful answers, and ask for help.
Problem-solving and critical thinking Self-directed and ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadline great deal of passion, motivation, and commitment.
R&D chefs run multiple projects in multiple phases with multiple teams, working at pace and to deadlines.
R&D chefs are exposed to sourcing, equipment, best practices, and strategy from every corner of the industry.
Cook delicious meals in a thoughtful, clean and organized manner Asking questions and keeping an open mind is key to our business model Forward thinker with the ability to forecast project needs, make thoughtful and informed decisions to accommodate these, and communicate clearly with your team.
An eagerness to learn and grow Ability to ask questions and receive Constructive criticism, which is both given and received with an open mind.
