Description Are you ready for your next career challenge? We are seeking an Engineering Tech to join our diverse and fast-paced organization, working out of our Charlotte, Durham, Wilmington or Asheville, North Carolina offices.
These roles can potentially be hybrid or remote, but the candidate needs to be in the Charlotte, Durham, Wilmington or Asheville area The successful candidate will support the following activities:
Travel to sites as needed, perform field inspections, and return to the office to perform engineering design work.
Perform engineering calculations such as:
structural analysisfor wood pole loading, guying calculations, specifying conductor sags and tensions for recommended spans, and calculation of voltage drop andflicker.
Coordinate with permit agencies, right-of-way specialists, system owners, field leaders, forestry leaders, and 3rd party owners for joint-owned poles.
Provide engineering support during construction, includingpost-construction reviews to ensure all applicable engineering and construction standards have been met.
Conduct root cause analysis of outages and mitigation using engineering principles and design.

Qualifications:
AS Degree in Engineering Technology preferred with related experience.
Experience with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
)Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Willingness to perform both field and office work.
Overnight travel may be required (10-20% travel)Ability to work in outdoor environments.
Ability to utilize personal vehicle.
Knowledge of NESC Standards and Client Standards preferred.

Pay Range $31,200.
00 - $48,000.
00 - $64,800.

Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
