Francis Hospital for Animals, a network of high-quality animal care facilities across the United States owned and operated by practicing veterinarians, is seeking to hire a Veterinary Assistant.
As a Veterinary Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting our licensed veterinarians and veterinary technicians in providing exceptional care to our animal patients.

Responsibilities Assisting the veterinary staff in various procedures such as physical examinations, dental procedures, and surgeries.
Performing medical procedures such as administering medications, collecting blood samples, and taking X-rays as directed by veterinarians.
Preparing and maintaining equipment and supplies for veterinary procedures.
Maintaining accurate and complete medical records for animal patients.
Interacting with clients regarding animal care and scheduling appointments as necessary.
Providing care for animals staying in the hospital, including feeding, exercising, and administering treatments as directed.
Cleaning and maintaining the hospital facility.
Caring for pets in our boarding facility as needed.
Requirements High school diploma or equivalent.
Prior experience working in a veterinary setting preferred.
Must possess good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with clients and team members.
Ability to follow directions and take initiative when necessary.
Must have strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds.
Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as required.
