$80,800 - $117,800.

$84,800 - $123,800.

$88,900 - $129,600.

$92,900 - $135,500.

$101,000 - $147,300.

The Division executes the Board's registration and inspections authority under the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (Act).
The Division processes, and makes recommendations to the Board, on applications from public accounting firms to register with the PCAOB.
The Division also inspects registered public accounting firms in connection with the firms' performance of audits, issuance of audit reports, and related matters involving issuers and broker-dealers audited by the registered firms.
Audit professionals who join the PCAOB will directly contribute to the PCAOB's mission of protecting investors.
This position works with and supports the goals and objectives of the Division and its Registration Team.
This position requires a proactive person who thrives in a multi-faceted professional environment and works cooperatively and professionally with others.
Responsibilities Perform detailed research and analyses with respect to registration applications and withdrawal requests received by the PCAOB, using LexisNexis, Edgar, and other legal and regulatory resources; Perform detailed reviews, analyses, and evaluations of information submitted by firms seeking to register or withdraw from registration with the PCAOB, including correspondence, documentation requested by the Board, and other materials and information; Perform analyses based on historical actions taken by the Board with respect to registration applicants and registered firms for purposes of consistently applying established policies regarding registration matters; Draft preliminary recommendations to the Board, within established timeframes, on registration applications and withdrawal requests based on requirements of the Act, and Board rules and policies; Work collaboratively with team members and other staff in the Division, and in other divisions, to obtain information needed for registration processes; Share information, data, and analyses with team members, staff in the Division, and in other divisions, as appropriate; Proactively respond to queries received on the Registration Helpline, including with respect to complex matters requiring knowledge of the Act, Board rules, and registration requirements; Provide oral and written guidance and information to U.

public accounting firms concerning registration with the PCAOB; Draft and maintain standardized registration templates to address routine queries and requests; Train others, as requested, on registration systems, processes, procedures, and templates; Coordinate with other divisions and teams concerning matters such as the publication of PCAOB website lists and information relevant to pending applications and withdrawal requests.
Use registration systems to record data, process and track registration forms, and control public access to information submitted to the PCAOB in applications, reports and other forms; Maintain proficiency with respect to existing registration systems, including RASR and Remedy; Contribute to the implementation of new and upgraded registration systems, including providing feedback on the systems, performing user-testing as requested, and obtaining training in the operation and functionality of the systems; Provide declarations regarding registration matters, if required; Take a leading role in documenting registration processes related to applications and withdrawal requests, identifying areas for improvement in such processes, and maintaining current process documentation in SharePoint; Coordinate bi-weekly registration team meetings and agendas; Provide analyses and support to assist team leaders and others in the Division in matters related to registration activities; Organize and maintain confidential files supporting registration activities; and Perform other duties relating to registration and other matters, as assigned, including participating in ad-hoc projects as required.
QualificationsEducation/Technical Expertise Bachelor's degree; Minimum of 5
years of progressively responsible experience; Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Access, and Outlook applications; Knowledge of reporting, and regulatory requirements, including with respect to the Act and Board rules; Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate ideas clearly and articulately, in a constructive manner (both orally and in writing), and to listen and consider the ideas and views of others; Ability to take ownership for job responsibilities and assignments, and to complete these effectively and in a timely manner while demonstrating thoughtfulness, creativity, and good judgment in addressing matters as they arise; Demonstrates a high level of attention to detail during performance of assigned tasks and review of various inspection-related data; Demonstrates flexibility, agility, and the ability to manage competing priorities, while working in a fast paced environment; Possess exceptional time management, organization, and prioritization skills; Works independently and as a member of a team; Works cooperatively with others to accomplish team goals; Maintains standards of confidentiality with respect to all work-related matters and documents.
Preferred Qualifications CPA license beneficial, but not required; Ability to travel, if required.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
