This bonus is available to both external and internal candidates.
Candidates who qualify for the CSI recruitment bonus in the 23-24 school year are not eligible for the Title I school recruitment bonus.
Candidates who have previously received a CSI Recruitment Bonus are not eligible.
The criteria for this bonus are indicated below:
Classroom teachers in the following areas:
English/ELA, Math, Science, EC, CTE (CTE courses that have state course assessment data) or ML Bonuses will be distributed in content or grade level based upon hire date.
Candidates must be hired with a start date in the position on or before the first day of 2023-24 school year (September 30,2023).
Available to internal and external candidates with the following:
Most recent summative evaluation North Carolina DPI evaluations:
must be proficient or higher in Standards I and IV Evaluations external to North Carolina:
At Standard or Above in all areas Two or more completed years classroom teaching experience (A02 or higher) The Principal must recommend the candidate for the bonus and the candidate must meet the criteria above.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
