Summary:
Maynard Nexsen is seeking a highly motivated CPA to work as part of its Tax and Estate Planning Practice in the Charlotte office serving high net income and high net worth clients.
Maynard Nexsen is seeking to grow its Tax and Estate Planning practice and there will be significant upside for the right individual as they assist in the growth of this practice.
Essential Job Functions:
This position will support the Tax and Estate Planning attorney preparing tax returns for individuals, closely held LLC and corporations.
This position will also be involved in preparing Form 706 and Form 1041 for the Estate clients of the firm.
This position will offer client contact working in conjunction with the Firm attorneys.
Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills and the ability to work successfully with multiple team members, interacting with employees at all levels of the organization.
Competent to handle a variety of activities with attention to detail and quality, with the ability to follow through and follow up, and adapt to quickly meet changing deadlines and priorities.
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Ability to complete multiple tasks and a high volume of work on short deadlines and follow through on assigned tasks with limited supervision.
Retain a high level of flexibility and resourceful problem solving Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality.
Educational and Experience Requirements:
The ideal candidate will be a CPA with a minimum of four years' experience working in a Public Accounting firm preparing tax returns for individuals, closely held LLCs and corporations.
Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting and/or relevant work experience preferred.
Experience preparing these returns will be considered a plus.
Prior experience in the legal industry will be considered a plus Work Environment and Physical Demands:
In office position Ability to work extended hours when necessary.
Normal office environment; no unusual physical demands.
