Nucor is looking for a marketing events specialist to join our growing commercial marketing team in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Nucor is North America's largest and most sustainable producer of steel and steel products.
The successful candidate is a self-motivated and highly organized team player who can simultaneously plan and manage multiple local and national events in support of Nucor's broader commercial marketing efforts.
The responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:
Planning commercial marketing team events including but not limited to trade shows, commercial team meetings, and special events Oversight and coordination of venues, food and beverage, trade booth assets, collateral, teammate accommodations, and team and partner logistics Venue and vendor contract negotiation and management Management of trade show assets, swag, and collateral inventories Travel to enterprise trade shows and other national events as needed This role will report to the Marketing and Brand Manager.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum
Qualifications:
Degree or certificate in marketing, hospitality, or a related field 3-5 years of relevant professional experience Excellent verbal and written skills combined with strong interpersonal skills Project management experience Preferred
Qualifications:
Experience in the steel or construction industries Experience with CRM platforms like Microsoft Dynamics Marketing and Salesforce.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
