Data Migration Lead / Senior Data Analyst Location:
Charlotte,NC (presently WFH relocation required post-pandemic) Employment Terms:
Fulltime with benefits Job Responsibilities Provide SME mentorship to Infra development teams on Aurora PostgreSQL platform Developing designing testing implementing and maintaining database applications o Perform Database admin duties o Design Provision Sizing manage backups o Monitor system performance metrics to identify potential risks issues o Good understanding of Monitoring services such as CloudWatch and Auditing tools like CloudTrail User and Access Management o Ensure Standard Compliance and Policy adherence by development teams and develop new directions to secure application databases o Explore new database products on AWS that suit business use cases perform POC and POT Create best practices for application database developers o Work on indexing replicating and performing disaster recovery services across multiple AWS regions o Good understanding of traditional performance tuning approaches using EXPLAIN PLAN Query Plan o Management etc Identify manual processes that can be automated o Document Standard Operating Procedures and KB articles for L1 L2 teams o Collaborate with Infrastructure teams during implementation of solutions o Provide Level 3 post implementation production support as needed o Contribute to overall automation framework design and enhancement o 5 years experience in AWS RDS database administration and engineering o Good understanding of database backups restore security etc o Development scripting experience with Python and Ruby Groovy o Experience in Agile Scrum Experience with at least one RDBMS RDS such as Microsoft SQL Server Oracle o Knowledge of and experience with basic aspects of Linux scripting o Experience designing coding implementing and supporting Infrastructure o Operations side automation solutions in a corporate environment o Experience with Jenkins Chef and or Terraform is an added benefit o Desired Degree in Computer Science or related discipline preferred o AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate or Database specialty o Preferred Qualifications Bachelor s degree preferred with Masters or equivalent experience Qualifications
Salary Range:
$150K -- $200K
