Senior Product Designer | Lonely Planet

Lonely Planet is seeking an experienced Senior Product Designer and critical thinker to join our Creative Team.
You'll play an instrumental role in developing core consumer-facing products for a large and diverse audience.
You will join the Lonely Planet team in creating user-centered, digital experiences that help people discover destinations and plan incredible trips.
This role requires a passionate individual with expertise in design and UX thinking.
The ideal candidate should excel in user-centered design processes, user experience strategy, and visual design.
Experience or interest in design systems is also beneficial.
The right candidate will be highly organized and collaborative, with a passion for solving problems cross-functionally in a fast-paced, early-stage environment.

What You ll Do:
Apply critical thinking and problem-solving techniques to tackle product challenges, identify user pain-points and make recommendations to drive end goalsChampion consumer-first led experiences and advocate for our usersLead strategy for complex, multi-step user flows across key Lonely Planet product experiencesFeel comfortable working in a highly collaborative environment that requires agility, swift decision-making, and rapid ideationPlan and facilitate cross-functional gatherings to tackle large projects and gain alignment across position groupsLead the organization of our design process with content, product, and developmentUnderstand business goals and solve complex problems while working with product teams to plan and build iterative solutionsCollaborate with Research to incorporate user insights and feedback within your product designs workflowCreate and execute detailed wireframes Prototype designs and interactions to clearly articulate your design intentionsTransform wireframes into high-fidelity, development-ready design conceptsEngage with the engineering team to understand API calls and technical restrictionsPresent and share work with cross-functional teams to clearly communicate design rationale and the importance to end usersWhat We re Looking For:
Portfolio and/or case studies showcasing product design and creative strategyDemonstrate a balance of visual design and UX skill sets5
years of experience in product-focused, UX designHave experience working with cross-functional teamsExcellent oral and written communication skillsProficiency with industry-leading design tools (Figma, Adobe)Proficiency building prototypes (Figma, Principle, Axure etc.
)Experience building and shipping web-based applications or software with end-to-end product designExperience building or maintaining a design system is a plusCompensationUSA Compensation Range:
$100,000-150,000New York City Compensation Range:
$125,000-$187,500 Note actual salary is based on geographic location, qualifications, and experience.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
