We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Permanent Remote Mortgage Underwriting Supervisor (DE
LAPP/SAR) to join our dynamic teamAs a Mortgage Underwriting Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in our mortgage operations, ensuring that loan applications are thoroughly evaluated for creditworthiness and compliance with industry standardsThis is an excellent opportunity to utilize your expertise in DE (Direct Endorsement), LAPP (Loan Appraisal Processing Program), and SAR (Staff Appraisal Reviewer) and contribute to our mission of providing superior mortgage servicesThis is a full-time remote position, offering a fantastic opportunity for those seeking a work-life balance without compromising on career growth.
Responsibilities:
As a Mortgage Underwriting Supervisor, your primary responsibilities will include:
1Reviewing and analyzing loan applications and supporting documents to ensure they meet company and industry standards.2Utilizing your DE and LAPP/SAR certification to endorse FHA and VA loans.3Making informed decisions on loan approvals and denials based on thorough analysis and in compliance with company policies and federal regulations.4Providing detailed feedback to loan officers and processors to ensure the mortgage process runs smoothly and efficiently.5Collaborating with the loan processing team to resolve any discrepancies or issues that may arise during the underwriting process.6Keeping abreast of changes in policies and regulations that may impact the underwriting process.7Assisting in training and guiding junior underwriters and other team members.8Participating in regular team meetings and contributing to the overall improvement of the underwriting process.9Supervising a pod of Underwriters in your area
Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you must possess:
