Coffee Production Assistant

We proudly produce specialty roasted coffee and ready-to-drink cold brew coffee products that are self distributed to restaurants, cafes, grocery stores, and more throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast.
Pure Intentions Coffee is seeking a candidate to fill a full-time position to assist with packaging our dry coffee products and our cold brew coffee products.
The position reports directly to the Production Manager.
This job is performed in an unconditioned warehouse environment and includes two main areas of responsibility - dry coffee and cold brew coffee production.
Dry Coffee Production:
Bag Labeling and prep for daily production Filling bags for daily production Staging of daily orders Boxing and loading of daily orders Participating in assembly line for large Purchase Order fulfillment of dry coffee General area cleaning and upkeep Learning Food Safety Standards for Coffee Production Cold Brew Coffee Packaging:
(Equipment used is very similar to beer brewing technology) Assisting with kegging of cold brew coffee Participating in assembly line for canning days required to fill large Purchase Orders of cases of cans General area cleaning and upkeep Required skills include:
Must be able to lift 50 pounds to shoulder level.
Attention to detail as it relates to an end-to-end production process.
Ability to understand and troubleshoot mechanical processes.
Punctuality, reliability, work ethic, and organizational skills.
Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively.
Problem solving and analytical abilities applied both to tangible brewing scenarios and for planning purposes.
Must have basic computer skills to use internal email and production tools.
Other beneficial experience includes:
Experience with food safety operations, or experience operating in an organization with food safety standards and requirements.
Experience with food manufacturing environments or programs.
Experience with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and general computer skills.
Position Details:
Scheduled work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:
30 AM to 5:
30 PM with an hour lunch break (40 hours per week).
Healthcare benefits available after 60 days of employment, partially subsidized by the company.
Work is performed in our unconditioned warehouse roastery - it gets hot in the summer and cold in the winter.
Though we are a small team at Pure Intentions Coffee, we service our clients with a high level of commitment and passion that, combined with high quality products, has allowed us to grow significantly over the last few years.
