This role is predominately focused on: Controller
The GCB Controller team is part of the CFO organization. The primary focus of our team is ensuring the accuracy of the books and records of the bank, supporting the budgeting and forecasting process and supporting business partners. Our business partners include GCB Finance officers, GCB Product BFO, GBAM Finance, LOB Operations, Regulatory Reporting and Accounting Policy.
The teammate in this role is responsible for 1) Ensure accuracy of the GCB financials through General Ledger and sub-ledger analysis and research, 2) Partner closely with GCB Finance officers through direct interaction, effective communication and value added assistance, 3) Provide guidance and analysis on proper accounting for new initiatives, 4) Governance efforts around internal controls (SOX), legal entities and Reg W, 5) Assist the GCB Finance team with forecasting and planning, and 6) Ad hoc reporting and analysis for various presentations and data requests
The team is composed of approximately 8 employees located in Charlotte, NC
Enterprise Role Overview:
Responsible for more complex finance activities involving implementation of strategic plans, profitability analysis, forecasting and financial reporting for a business unit or associate area. Supports achievement of business goals by working on more complex activities or projects with others within the unit and with partners. Leads projects and coordinates resources. May provide supervision to a small staff. Can manage partner relationships.
### Qualifications
Required Skills
Bachelor''s degree, in accounting or finance
4
years of accounting or financial analysis work experience
Strong communication, organization, presentation, analytical and leadership skills
Analytical Abilities / Financial Acumen - Systematic application of a combination of inductive and deductive reasoning to examine information, interpret results and arrive at well-founded logical conclusions. Understanding of accounting (debits / credits)

Advanced excel skills
Strong business acumen
